fs2crew

Postby royalt » Sun Jul 01, 2018 10:04 am

Hi all

When I first opened flyinside on my oculus rift everything worked fine. After updating win10 last night I only get the fs2crew panel(s) in desktop view, while in vr the panels are missing. Anyone else having or had this issue or a similar one with other panel views in fsx?

Thx

Hi

Yep, it's Flyinside 1.95 since this morning (after a win10 update last night though).

So i have the panels / windows on my desktop + in the "FlyInside room" (the view on the left beneath the big "Enter Simulator!" button: the panels are laying on top of it).

Once in the virtual cockpit the panels aren't there. I can't "talk" with it either.

To end with, fs2crew (voicecontrol) works perfectly together with FlyInside.

How i solved my problem with the panels above and how to save 13 hours of your life?

1) check if you have the corresponding version of the oculus prog selected / installed

2) Make sure after a Win10 update that the OS-language is English. (If not change this in your regional / language settings and restart, this should only take a couple of minutes).

3) Make sure that your microphone is correctly working together with speech recognition. (In my case also a realtek update messed up my microphone settings).

4) Empty the folder C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\FlyInside.

5) Make a copy of your original fsx.cfg and delete it (or change the name) .

6) Let fsx make a new cfg file automaticaly by restarting fsx on the desktop (as in "pc edition without the oculus") and confirm your add ons.

7) FS2crew should work perfectly in the "pc edition", have a little chat and close fsx.

8) Wait a minute or two, start FlyInside and voila ... enjoy!
