Anybody patiently waiting for their rift may have seen the "hardware component shortfall" delay emails and the bonus for waiting ? Free shipping for all !!!

You do realise that you could save about 170 dollars on shipping if you order before US midnight time :)

I've got my email! Free shipping for me and hopefully little or no impact on my shipping date. I was expecting it sometime in April and whilst I may have got it early before this issue it sounds like I'll still get it this month!

Came all the way over from Reddit just to make a post here!

First of all, thank you for this mod Dan and everyone else involved!

Just wanted to mention that room-scale maintenance and pre-flight on realistic aircraft mods (such as A2A's) as well full cabin (via teleportation) for larger aircraft is something I've always wanted in FS. I like to take small aircraft that (I could reasonably afford) and hop them across the world from one airport to another and try and keep everything as realistic as possible in the process. That last bit of immersion from having to walk around my Piper or Cessna will be absolutely fantastic... I can't wait!

Not dissing Rift or anything, but I want to feel free to walk about the cabin.

I'm going with both, I'm a developer  What I'd recommend for you (which is arguably more important):

Interested in room scale and impatient? Vive

Interested only in sim/racing/seated? Rift

Maybe interested in room-scale, nervous, unsure: Wait a few months, see how Oculus Touch pans out and the general consensus then :)

Really both amazing headsets, at the moment it comes down to room-scale or not.
Your friendly neighborhood developer!
