Vive and Rift CV1 connected at same time?

I have a Vive with a Rift CV1 arriving today. This might be a stupid question, but how hard would it be to develop/modify software to run both headsets at the same time in the same cockpit? Would this be even possible? I've seen posts where both headsets work at same time but running different games, so I guess technically it's possible? How amazing would it be to have a copilot?! Or allow my daughter to just come along for the ride.
