I used to find the mouse cursor annoying to use then got into the habit of drawing the mouse straight back to kind of park it in the floor area but it was still a little visible. Made it easier to find again when I needed it.
Then I saw it mentioned that the FlyInside menu lets you assign buttons to hide the mouse as well as center the mouse. Turns out that centering the mouse also makes it visible again as it pops it back to the center of wherever you are looking at the time you pop the cursor back to center. It works great!
One thing for certain is in VR where finding keys on your keyboard isn't all that easy, sims like FSX and P3D really benefit from stick setups with lots of assignable buttons and switches.
