Question about FI, Pilotedge and FSUIPC

I have been using Pilotedge for a while, as I enjoy the high quality of ATC. Recently I started using FlyInside for P3D, which I find absolutely amazing.
For Pilotedge I map push to talk (PTT) to a button on my Saitek Joystick using FSUIPC. This works great when I use my regular monitors, but when I use also FlyInside the mic remains keyed all the time as if I was keeping the button pressed, while of course I am not. I have tried changing button, but the problem persists.
Now, the interesting part is that if I assign a keybaord key to the PTT function on pilotedge, then it works fine (this assignment bypasses FSUIPC).
All other FSUIPC assignments for sim-related (ailerons, flaps, etc) work perfectly.

Any possible explanation/solution?
