Mouse Pointer acts strangely during a long flight

For the second time this weekend, i have tried to fly from EGLL to KJFK, a flight that lasts a fairly significant length of time and after about 6 hours of flying, the mouse pointer seems to attach itself to the movement of the headset and then disappears altogether. I can still use it on other windows, but as soon as i move it to the active FI XP window, it disappears.
Given that this hasn't happened before and given that it happened at what appeared to be a very similar point in the flight, both times, i thought that it might be some type of overflow error and looking at the time stamps on the log.txt file, attached, when what is presumably the time in seconds since the start of the session gets to around 23,400, the number suddently goes negative, which apprears to suggest that a variable has exceeded its limit. This might just be a coincidence, but as 6 hours in seconds, is scarily close to that number, it might be worth checking.
I did manage to land, making use of the iPad MCDU and the Touch controllers, but i would rather have the trusty mouse in my hand.
I was flying an FF 777 by the way and the flight plan is attached also.
