For the second time this weekend, i have tried to fly from EGLL to KJFK, a flight that lasts a fairly significant length of time and after about 6 hours of flying, the mouse pointer seems to attach itself to the movement of the headset and then disappears altogether. I can still use it on other windows, but as soon as i move it to the active FI XP window, it disappears.

Given that this hasn't happened before and given that it happened at what appeared to be a very similar point in the flight, both times, i thought that it might be some type of overflow error and looking at the time stamps on the log.txt file, attached, when what is presumably the time in seconds since the start of the session gets to around 23,400, the number suddently goes negative, which apprears to suggest that a variable has exceeded its limit. This might just be a coincidence, but as 6 hours in seconds, is scarily close to that number, it might be worth checking.

I did manage to land, making use of the iPad MCDU and the Touch controllers, but i would rather have the trusty mouse in my hand.

I was flying an FF 777 by the way and the flight plan is attached also.

I can confirm that this bug happened to me multiple times since version 1.5. What I saw was after about 7 hrs flight, the mouse pointer got stuck in the upper left corner on FI window while disappears altogether in HMD. My workaround is to save and reload the flight to get the mouse pointer back.

I can only confirm that sometimes the mouse pointer is fixed with the HMD movement but it never disappeared here....strange

Now you mentioned it, I do remember seeing once the mouse pointer at the corner of my eyes and following my head movement in VR view.

Was that on a long flight?

Yes. The problem only occur after 7-8 hrs in continuous flight.

I've just had the "disappearing mouse pointer" bug again, just before i was about to activate the APP, on my British Airways SSG 747-800i, for a landing at Karachi, after long trip from Rome. The mouse was totally useless and rather than look up the key presses, i just deactivated the AP, by pressing any direction on my trim hat and landed it manually, almost perfectly. :)

This one is easy to reproduce, albeit a bit of a wait before it happens, but given the apparently constant time for it to fail, it really does just look like a timer variable is overflowing, so shouldn't be hard to track down and correct.

It's good to see that you are able to fly SSG 747-800i. Is this payware version or freeware? I always have the problem of mouse not aligning with buttons on instrument panel, as if the mouse is floating in midair in this particular aircraft. I am using x-plane 11.02. I wonder whether you have experienced this problem before and whether moving to 11.05r1 will help.

It is the payware version and I found a way around the issue that you are having if you would like me to share?

.....lol, I know

Just go to the general settings tab and set the display clickable regions and the option below it, which is something to do with tips. Not sure you absolutely need the latter, but either way it solves the problem and flying this beast is awesome.
