Carenado F50 1.11 Damages FlyInside

Postby jimh20 » Sat Mar 10, 2018 12:16 pm

Hi,
I've been using the F50 1.0 successfully. I'm not deep into every switch and knob, and use the F1GTN750 for navigation, so I've no complaints, and like how it flies.
According to instructions from Carenado I uninstalled v1.0, and installed the new v1.1. The updated aircraft seems to work ok in P3D 4.2, and on my monitors. That is the engines start and the 750 opens and a flightplan can be loaded.

At that stage I closed down and started up FlyInside. In VR none of its 2D panels appear in the VC, nor does the 750. They are visible on monitor but all are unresposive. At this stage the aircraft is unuseable.
When I try to enter the FlyInside Menu, only the little blue dot appears and is able to operate switches on the panel, but the usual short-lived window giving access to the menu does not appear.

I'd like to know if this is just me?

Jim

I uninstalled the Carenado F50 1.11, and installed v1.1 once again. This original version functioned pretty well all round and in FlyInside, but over several flights it proved incompatible with ATC, so I've dumped it.

Cheers, Jim

How so Jim? No interaction with ATC or not being recognised? I was thinking of getting this bird myself but I think I'll save my money now.

Hi Tony,

I tend to fly the less complex aircraft. I navigate with the F1 GTN 750 and use PF3 for ATC. When I loaded the updated F50 in Flyinside/P3D4.2, the 750 was frozen, as was Rob's Pushback gauge, the engine starter window never appeared (shft-6), and I hadn't learned the manual start up procedure. When I pressed my Interact Button no FlyinsIde menu window appeared, but I got the blue spot which could operate switches etc in the VC. The aircraft was not usable in Flyinside/P3D4.

I was able to use the previous version without any of the above problems. I found the F50 to fly well, but had an annoying tendency to disconnect modes of the autopilot at random times. In the six flights I flew with v1 of the F50 I had trouble with PF3. The controller kept telling me to watch my altitude, and then insisted I keep high, ignoring any attempt at an approach. Belatedly, suspected that PF3 was having trouble hooking into the F50, repeated a flight with another aircaft and was guided from gate to gate by PF3.

I then uninstalled the F50. I have other Carenado aircraft which give me no problems. I only bought this one because it's a regional airliner I can fly for my VA.
