6dof

Hi Dan
Been a long time user of dcoc and had it running without issue in Prepar3d. Uninstalled and tried the new alpha. Couldn't get it to work with 970sli, it juddered and jerked all over the place. Turned off sli and it works much better now. Problem I have it I can tilt and pan but cannot move forward or backwards or side to side or up and down. My position is not where it should be either, it is up and to the right.
Have you come across this before?

Extra info, had been using ezdoc but disabled it before trying this. Enabled it again and can move my head position to where it needs to be. Just missing 6dof now. Suspect ezdoc modified something so need to try and set camera.cfg to default.

You didnt mention if you get a blue light from the camera (without which you will have no positional). If no blue light then make sure its plugged in.

I tried to attach my cameras.cfg for you to compare but this forum doesnt allow .cfg or .txt ?!

Correct! No light, and no positional tracking. Slightly embarrassing after using oculus all this time :) thanks.
Ok back to trying to find issue with the oculus then. It shows sync cable disconnected. Everything plugged in as it always has been.
Never mind, thanks anyway guys!

OK turns out the oculus cable/interface box is faulty. When I plug the tracking sync cable directly into the headset(under the rubber bung) it all works. Have contacted oculus for a new one.

Once I reconnected everything I still had no positional tracking until I removed the ezdok cameras and disabled the exe from launching. Everything is as it should be! Hopefully ezdok can add support like they did for track ir once everything goes live.

Dan, if you need help I have most common add ons/aircraft/sli 970gtx so feel free to ask if you need to try something you don't have access to.

Chris

Thanks for the info! What are the chances of faulty hardware like that haha?

I may be able to do some work on FlyInside to get it working with EZDok also, I'll see once I get there :)

Thanks! I suspect ezdok will need to support it like they do with track ir. ezdok intercepts track ir commands and passes them through to the sim because ezdok takes control of camera positions. It is why I couldn't get oculus working with ezdok cameras installed so I'm not sure you can do much, I'm not the expert though! :)
