[Fatal Error][SOLVED] P3DCameraHooker.cpp Line 29

Postby hodeskutt » Sun Jul 19, 2015 7:01 pm

I have just made a fresh install of P3D to use with FlyInside.
When trying to launch P3D the game crashes.
Bugsplat attached.

FIX: I removed P3D v2.4, and installed P3D v2.5 + Flyinside P3D. Happy flying!

I have tried to delete Prepar3d.cfg in appdata, doesnt help.
Any ideas?

Info:
OS - Windows 8.1
CPU -i7 4770k @ 4,3ghz
GPU -Radeon R9 280X
P3D - 2.4 //No mods added
SDK - 0.6.0.0

Thanks Tony, but i have allready gone through all the threads on both P3D and FSX, and i still couldn't make it work. Then i created my own thread.

Just before going to bed last night, i removed P3Dv2.4 and installed v2.5. Now everything is working flawlessly. I have never seen smoother VR in P3D!
Im going to leave this thread up, in case others stumble into the same problem.

Dan, my hat's off to you! Also you should have a cookie. This is simply amazing!

Glad you got it working! I'm an idiot for not putting a friendly warning message about needing v2.5 tho ;)

Johannes, I think your problem may be only having 4 GB of RAM. It's the most FSX:SE can address all by itself and people run out of memory if they have too many addons and such. You have your OS, drivers, and any other system or utility software all loading into that 4 GB space.

I can't say for certain that's what is happening but it wouldn't surprise me. An way you can stab in a bit more? At a minimum it will probably really improve performance.

You can check task manager to monitor free memory as everything loads and that should tell the tale.
