My other question, is where is the cfg file for FI located.. it used to be useful to set it so you could force saved flights to load inside of FI on launch.. it used to be in the users app data area, i believe.. ah scratch that i found it.. in the flyinside under roaming.

What i have also found, is that if you run the "black" window on the 4k screen with it set to 3840 (4k) res in the sim.. this results in a drop in fps in the sim.. roughly 5-7 fps, significant in some areas.

Then if you try lowering it to 1920x1080 and leaving the screen on the 4k, after a reload.. its very shimmery.. i guess due to the weird scaling going on on the 4k down to 1080 even though in a 2d window.. unsure.

So for now, i've set it to 1080 and set the start screen to be the 1080 screen not the 4k, doing this gets rid of the shimmers and the drop in frame rate.. so now, for instance, around KSAN i average anywhere from a min of about 32 fps (90 ATW) to as high as 50 depending on direction (ORBX ftx etc).. the sim rate isnt far off from my 4k sim setting/results, which are maybe 5 fps better on average.. i also have the sim's settings up a bit, maybe down 25% from my 4k cfg.. and AA at 8X (seems to not take a hit by much at 8x vs 4x, still debating how much of a difference 4 vs 8 makes in sim).

Im surprised noone else has ran into this dual 4k + 1080 screen issue as of yet.. and/or the black screen on 4k issue.

Also.. seems no matter if i choose the 2D 1080 screen as the default primary display (even though my 4k is really the primary in windows), each time things are messed up.. I either have to drag the window from the 4k to 1080 to get the shimmering to stop (even though the sim is set to 1080), or sometimes vice versa in various tests..

Point is, no matter what i do.. i cant make the 2D window appear on the 4k screen and be good from the start.. there is some finagling of 2D windows from one to the other that must be done before flying otherwise a tremendous frame rate hit.
