P3D HDR is unfortunately pretty far down on our priorities list. It's very difficult/error-prone to implement (was hard enough for XP, took us months to figure out the resulting bugs, may well be worse in P3D), while not making a huge difference in Prepar3D. I would recommend using Color Level Adjustments for now (FlyInside Menu -> Settings -> Color Level Adjustments), it will help you brighten things up and make them a bit less dull.
This isn't to say that we don't implement HDR for Prepar3Dv4. We just have some higher priority issues to sort out first, and won't be able to put a timeline on it until we've gone into more depth implementing it.
Thanks,
Dan
