P3Dv4 cfg file

Postby Dangerous Beans » Sun Oct 15, 2017 1:46 pm

I noticed that the new version of FI for P3Dv4 uses the main Prepar3D.cfg to get the sims settings from where the v3 and FSX versions have there own cfg eg. prepar3d_FlyInside.cfg

Its not a big deal but Is there a reason v4 cant do the same ?
I would prefer if it could as I sometimes run the sim without FI and have to reset some setting each time I do only to have FI reset them again later.

Prepar3Dv4 changed the methods they used to read/write Prepar3D.cfg, which made our interception/renaming system a bit buggy and unreliable. We disabled this feature for Prepar3Dv4, rather than hold up on launching the product. That said, we're going to look into it and hopefully get it working again :) Just a bit lower priority than some of the other features.
