Error after video driver update

Postby puppypower » Sun Nov 05, 2017 7:12 am

Hello everyone,

I have tried to update my video drivers and after that flyinside will not start because” flyinside requires desktop composition (aero in order to run
aero requires an aero compatible theme “
I have reinstalled the following drivers by using ODD first then booting in safe mode and installing new drivers(388.13, 382.53 and 388.00)
The error is still there. I tried to enable desktop composition in the “Performance Options” but its just not there and “Enable Peek” and “Enable transparent glass” are missing too!

I have tried just about everything I have found on google and still the error persists.
Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Bart

That sounds strange! I had a similar problem, but that was quite a while ago. I'm on win10 these days, and I'm away from my computer, so a little hard for me to help you, sorry!
Have you tried the instructions here?

Thanks for replying mate. I’ve ended up restoring to a previous point and p3d in flyinside is working now. The strangest thing was that the check boxes to enable transparency were missing! And nothing on the web told me how to get them back.

Thanks
