ucrtbase.dll crash and 2D panel issues

Postby Panny » Fri Mar 20, 2020 7:45 am

Hello,
I wanted to seek some advice regarding a crash that I have regularly suffered. I do not have any outstanding issues with my flight simulator, and this crash only occurs with FlyInside operating.

When I hit OK, having set up the scenario, the loading box is black, P3D hangs and eventually crashes after 30 seconds or so.

This crash is hit and miss, ranging from being consistent to being absent every now and then. I have tried using my windows repair tool to see if the issue would be resolved, but it has had no success.

I have searched the forums for any prior solutions, but I am stumped.

This is the information regarding the crash: Faulting application name: prepar3d.exe, version: 4.5.13.32097, time stamp: 0x5d8abf93
Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.18362.387, time stamp: 0x4361b720
Exception code: 0xc0000409
Fault offset: 0x000000000006db8e
Faulting process id: 0x3d10
Faulting application start time: 0x01d5feaf2a5aa078
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\prepar3d.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\ucrtbase.dll
Report Id: d74f0ff0-d1c6-453a-8568-01a8f6a982e9
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

Otherwise, here are my specs and information:

Sim: P3D 4.5 HF2

OS: Win10 Home

Specs: GTX 1080
AMD 3700X
500gb NVMe V-NAND SSD
ASUS Prime X570 pro mobo

In addition, it seems it really struggles with bringing up 2D panels in game. The screen goes black with the 2D panel being dragged across your face. Means I can't use 2D panels properly. Any help?

Cheers,
Peter

Hi Peter, with a little help from google I think this may be a driver issue, have a look here = https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 120fb73dda

Try some of those solutions and report back.
