Ideal settings for FI-XP

How do you guys make X10 to work without HDR? I can have HDR off only in X11, but in X10 non-hdr setup its not working in my PC.

I've been playing around with x plane 10 and ortho4xp, HD Mesh Scenery and WOW I have set cars, objets, road, trees at default. Water reflection none, shadow static, aa 4x, as 4x. texture resolution extreme. In FI resolution set at 3840x2374, fxaa enable and msaa 4x with this settings I get 50/90 with default planes and 39/90 with flight factor 757.

With ortho4xp set a zoom level 17 you're not going to need that many roads, trees or buildings and it looks really good. The best part is there's almost no shimmering.

No hdr

How are you flying with HDR off.. when i previously tried HDR off, it was far too dark?

I have gamma set to 1.0 in x plane settings. color levels adjustment enable, dark and bright color modifier 40% and saturation 130%

Any brightness tweaks in Xplane (version 11 here), didnt seem to show up in the goggles.. only in the XP window on the 2d screen..

Has anyone found a way to adjust brightness in the goggles somehow (with hdr off).. FI adjustments arent enough with HDR off.. and things like MaxxFx have no effect in the goggles.

I don't have x plane 11 but I did try the demo. With hdr off or on brightness was fine, maybe a little darker with hdr on. In the goggles, are you having the same problem with other games or is it just x plane 11?

Oculus rift too. I don't use hdr, my pc can't handle it. But with hdr on xplane is a little darker, more realistic. I guess hdr override my gamma setting and it render light where there should be light, specially night time. With hdr off and gamma set to 1.0 everything is bright no matter where I look, night time everything is visible.

I'm saying with hdr on the goggles view should be brighter than the darkness that is off.

Where are you setting gamma in xp11beta

No control of gamma values in xp11. I don't have xp11 but someone on xp11 forum mentioned maxxpro does a great job of adjusting gamma.

Max pro has no effect in the goggles. Only on the lcd. I made the mistake of buying it

Is it just xp11 you having problems with? If not try playing with nvidia color settings
