FlyInside XP Jitter

Postby Andelain » Wed Nov 23, 2016 6:21 am

Hi,

I've been so looking forward to FlyInside XP for a long ime, perhaps too much. :D

From the first time I ran it I'm getting a pronounced Jitter it would seem mostly in the horizontal axis which is more pronounced when I turn to each side. The jitter is so pronounced that I can't wear the headset, as it would make me feel ill after only a short time.

I've tried all the usual things, different aircraft, unloading plugins, but so far nothing seems to stabilize the view.

An example video can be found here:

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found a solution ?

I have FlyInside P3D working prefectly fine.

Cheers,

Ande

I get these types of Jitter if my FPS drops below 45, reducing visibility in the weather keeps my frames up.

Did you try hitting cntrl+1 on the numpad? I had a problem with the rift not getting anything above 45 FPS and this fixed it. Something to do with ASW with the new version of Oculus firmware. I wish this would have been addressed HEAVILY!

Alrighty !

I found the culprit..

For those of you like me who have been using x-plane for a while and may have head tracking installed in X-Plane via OpenTrack, HatTrack or TrackIR.

You must disable the head tracking option in the hardware setup window or you will probably experience jitter or head shake similar to myself.

Menu: Joystick and Equipment Tab: Equipment

Dan, if you are reading this, it might be good for fly-inside to check this setting, seeing as it seems to cause a problem.

Hope this helps anyone who might end up with the same problem.

Cheers,

Ande
