1. Go into your X-Plane folder
2. Rename opengl32.dll to opengl32_disabled.dll
3. Launch X-Plane.
4. Rename back to use VR

Hope that helps :)

Does this also work with X-Plane 11? I wanted to disable FI temporary to see if a bug is because of XP11 or because of FI but after renaming the .dll it only gives me the whole view upside down.....

Try resetting views on the xplane settings page and see if that fixes it ?

Got all hot and bothered that the new xp11 FI was ready, raced home and boom same old issue preventing me from using xp FI. As of the new 1.71 build I try running xp11 and get the EXACT same launch crash that keeps me from using FI in 10 or 11. Also keeps me from running the standard xp11 exe. I rename the opengl32 to _disabled and xp11 starts up fine. Seems like the dll is not working correctly.

Thoughts?

ParticleMan:

I sent you an e-mail with some instructions a while back. If you're able to send me a crash-dump I should be able to fix the bug that's affecting you. One thing to check, is whether you have any software which globally injects itself and could be interfering. Examples include game/video capture software, antivirus, etc.

It may be a FlyInside bug, but could also be a configuration issue. Not many users reporting crash-on-start like that.
