"I'm going to look into xEnviro and will add support if possible (hopefully it will be easy) :)

Thanks,
Dan"

Thank you Dan!
I hope you've been making some progress with this?
Any chance it might be part of the XP12 version of FI?

Thanks again for your effort!

We have an update launching either tomorrow or Fri. Improvements of note:
-HDR support
-X-Plane 11 support
-xEnviro support - Currently disables xEnviro fog/haze but the clouds now work great. One step at a time ;)

VERY curious for the HDR/XP11 performance! Considering my tests, it should hardly be usable. Would LOVE to be surprised though ;)

Hopefully your curiosity will be satisfied? I get excellent frame rates, but you do have to trade off with some settings to achieve this. But this is the same with the other simulators and flyinside ;) it is VERY enjoyable and Dan has added more options for the user.

You guys freaking rock!!! Thank you so much for fixing this! I was starting to worry I had a 70 dollar paper weight... and it wasn't even useful for holding paper down as it's just a bunch of ones and zeros.

thank you!!!

Are you still satisfied with X-Enviro?
I'm really considering the buy. I'm through with SkyMaxx and stuff....

Just a FYI, Xenviro has updated to version 1.04.
To update you must download the exe from website.

http://xenviro.net/

They have fixed 7-8 things like wall of haze and rotating clouds.
Works great with FI.

Maybe you can test adding back the fog now Dan? :)

I upgraded to Skymaxx Pro 4 and initially I thought it was great but I have, today, switched to xEnviro. The main problems I had with SMP4 in XP11b2 were:
1. If you set the draw distance greater than 13000km the clouds flash (all of them!) when using the Vive
2. The clouds rotate when you move your head around in the cockpit.
3. On an overcast day, the cockpit is lit like its sunny, with bright/strong shadows in the cockpit and the wings cast a strong shadow on the ground
4. ...and the clincher...when the area slider is set to 12000 and you are around 25000 feet you can see the circle of clouds around you.

What I like about xEnviro:
1. Very atmospheric feel on an overcast day - the sky colour is dark and it feels gloomy (it changes the sky colour I think). Flying through the overcast layer reveals a bright blue sky and the overcast layer stretching out in all directions below you. Very convincing in my opinion.
2. The clouds don't rotate, the cockpit is darker on a cloudy day and the wings don't cast a shadow (the shadows in the cockpit are weaker too).
3. Not too heavy on frame rates
4. Clouds stretch out to the horizon even with the settings set to 'Optimum' (not max).

I got the 'feeling' that this is the weather engine I have been waiting for. It is only 1.04 so very promising.
