Mouse not working in 3D Cockpit

Postby airnexus » Wed Dec 14, 2016 3:24 pm

Hello Dan, I am writing because I am trying to use the mouse to press switches and it seems like all the cockpit is offset.
It happens on every airplane, I can use the Vive controller to move some switches but with the mouse doesn't work, i need to press 1 foot right and 3 inch down of the knob to move the switch that I want.
I already reintall x-plane and FI, but have the same problem.

Thanks

I've been trying to track this problem down for a while. For some users, the mouse is exactly in the right place, for others it has an offset like you're seeing. Any chance that you could take a short video (even cellphone video is good), of your monitor while you try to click switches inside the Rift?

The sim needs to be set to windowed simulator in the graphics menu and that will correct the offset.

I think windowed mode is a known bug being worked on.Try switching back to full screen simulator from the menu again. That works for me

I just remoted into airnexus' computer (thank you for letting me do that :) ). Something very strange is going on here, X-Plane will not allow itself to run in Windowed mode. If you try to turn on Windowed mode it resets itself to full-screen mode instantly. Has anyone seen this issue, or have any idea what's going on? Seems unrelated to FlyInside.

Did you also try to play around in the XP 10 settings?
I remember there was a checkbox saying something, right next to the resolution menu

Yes I did. It's the strangest thing, unchecking the checkbox (which switches X-Plane to windowed mode on my computer) doesn't work. X-Plane turns into a borderless window, and goes back to fullscreen upon restart

Hmmmm. What's the OS? Windows 10?

So just some thoughts:

- Have you tried ALT+ENTER shortcut?
- In the properties of the link or .exe file you can also set in which mode you want the program to start
- Have you tried deleting the preferences in XP10? (make backup first though) /output/preferences

Just did some googling:

Here's How:

Find the shortcut for the computer game you want to play in windowed mode instead of full screen.
Right click on the shortcut, select Properties.
In the Target field add: -window at the end.
Click OK.

I know those are very basic things, but maybe it is just a small thing?
