Did i do the right thing?!

I just ordered an oculus cv1 just for xplane11 although i got some feedback that u cant see
Basic flight readings like SPD,ALT...etc from the pilot seat without zooming in, specially that i mostly
Fly FIR in the ixeg 737 or ff767
But the promise and idea of immersion got me.
How can u excute a safe landing without reading these vital readings?! Can u program the fmc?!
Will flyinside improve the resolution a little bit at least? What about shimmering ?!
Will i lose a lot of the eyecandy for the sake of performance for vr?!
Can someone enlighten be pls , am not sure i did the right thing by ordering the rift
