X-Plane GPS Garmin 430

Just curious to know if you guys have some workaround using the GPS in general in FI. I am not managing to even enter a direct, using the knobs drives me nuts.
Is there a way to import the GPS window or any other workaround to being able to managing the GPS while flying with FI.
I was thinking may be to assign some key to knobs like I did to handle the radios, but I am not managing to find the right ones in the joystick settings.

I bound some keyboard shortcuts to the Garmin 430 using X-Plane's Settings>Joystick and Equipment>Keys

Add new Key assignment. Choose your key. Click GPS/ then G430 Nav-1 or Nav-2- Whatever you want. I only wanted CDI, FPL, PROC, Chapter up and down, page up and down, select cursor, direct, enter, clear and push cursor.

yeah, one is really going crazy with using the knobs, well said!:)
Right now I handle it like this:

- leaving the virtual cockpit and entering FlyInside menu
- opening "Sim" Tab, double the window size
- click on the GNS device to bring it up as a 2D-window
- enter all the details
- close it and go back to virtual cockpit

Saves me lot of nerves this way. But I'm sure Dan will improve this soon.

Awesome thx guys, yea I ended up assigning keys too...
I also wanted to try gnsx30 plugin which is supposed to be used with the Garmin trainer. Was hoping to be able to import the Garmin trainer window.
Havent tested yet, and also the plugin looks really old.. not even sure it's still working.
