Frame Rates not what some of you guys get

I am getting frustrated. I have a very high end PC, i7, GeForce1060, 16gb ram etc. When in the rift, I click the action button to check frame rates and it is never above 19, and most of the time in the low 12-13 range.

I even turned textures to lowest setting, no clouds, basically turned everything off and it was still the same. This is in both XP 10 and 11. I HAVE to be doing something wrong since some of you post that you are getting in the 30-40 fps range?

Reading elsewhere, is it possible because it is running on my monitor at a high resolution at the same time, that that could be causing the issue? I saw someone mentioned they turned the monitor fps down to 15. How is that setting done? Would minimizing the window on the monitor help?

Open the FI menu when inside the sim. There you should see a lot of settings to set according to your needs.
