Hey there,

I bought flyinside for XP hoping to finally "flyinside" alas I ran into some difficulties:

My Setup
- Win10
- i5-6500 CPU
- 16GB DDR4 Memory
- AMD RX480 Graphics Card (Software Version 16.12.2)
- HTC Vive

FlyInside 1.71 XP Pro
XPlane XP11.00pb6 (build 110012 64-bit)

Problem:
I start flyinside XP via the shortcut, This launches XP11, however even after loading the airplane and it sitting on the runway in 3d cockpit view, flyinside says "waiting for simulator" and never launches into the full cockpit view. Meanwhile I can see the simulator running and tracking (with lousy performance (2-3s per frame) ) in the desktop view inside vr.

Am I doing something wrong (I'm new to vr, so forgive me.) ?

Sounds like because of those fps flyinside is unable to start ? Try lowering all your settings in game but leave HDR 1 down from max and see how that goes ?

What is your AA set at in X-Plane? I know if I set mine to * it will not run and just sit at the Waiting screen. Try 4 or 2xx

Hey folken,

the problem is your graphic card. I had the same issue when i tried starting flyinside and xp10 with my AMD RX 480. The RX 480 is just weak.
After a week of trying get flyinside work, I returned my RX 480 to my dealer and took instead a GTX 1070. This solved the issue
and since that I´m having a lot of fun with flyinside and XP10.

I would concur that your card is probably your issue. AMD didn't compete against the 1060/70/80 generation.

There guys who know a lot more about cards than I do, however for VR at the moment, I don't think there is a AMD alternative. This could change in the future though.
