Reflections around cockpit windows

Postby Bulldog7 » Mon Jan 23, 2017 3:35 am

Hi all,
Ok these reflections are driving me crazy and they lurk in the edges of the windows . They disable cloud rendering and are a major distraction from the cockpit. I had Skymax 4 thinking it was a weather generated 3rd party program confliction. However even after uninstalling it , the default XP11 Aircraft with clear skies produced the same errors. It only happens with FI. My pc is a strong one with very good I5 chip and a 1080 behind that. 16 meg of Ram and runs the sime well.

Anyone else have this problem , know what to do to fix? I dont see many other people posting this problem . Some were, but where they moved their head and the shadows moved up and down . Mine are static on the windows and surrounding items that cast shadows or reflection on the windows edges , Ie window locks ect .

Sorry guys but Im about ready for the white coat that does up at the back. Thanks

same problem here mate.
it appeared only after pb5 (public beta) and didn't go also after the upgrade to pb6

Due to lack of time, I just went back to XP10 for the meanwhile, but if there is a solution, I would be very happy.

Hi Tony,
I'm having considerable crashing issues with XP11 which is rare for me. But I am also having FI issues with the reflections around the cockpit windows.
Pc Specs roughly are I5 chip GTX1080 with 16G Ram fairly healthy system Not off a shelf Pc
.
1. I have had these reflection issues through the demo and todayafter I Paid foer this version
2. I thought maybe SkyMax4 may be the problem . tried to disable plugin ended up uninstalling SM4
3. XP constantly crashes , Have enlisted the Installer to check files again
4. Getting warning on XP startup "Null texture-how ref=388 (tman.cpp:288) click understood
Sim Crashes again
5. XP11 output folder , Delete preferences folder . Sim starts
6. reboot XP11 now to allow FI to do its set up thing
7. FI crashes and asks to try the troubleshooter , works
8. Reactivate the paid FI , ok we're making progress. Reboot everything
9. Um Wahoo yes, Houston we have ignition...
10. Beautiful love this program Tony makes it worth investing in. , 4hrs ago, um not so much...

This started as a problem that got solved by Google and determination and would like to paste this here as to possibly help someone else out , Thanks Tony but this looks to be fixed now.
As to what originally caused this issue still remains a mystery but all is back including SM4 and ..... working fine so far

Phew great news mate. That null issue is reported over on xplane.org forums. Seems quite an issue when the beta gets updated. I take it you are in pb8 now ?
