Hi Guys,

potential solution?

given up on flyinside until next update.... but then couldnt help myself

was mucking around with settings and whilst flying I pulled the graphics settings page up. then I unticked the "use non-proportional....." box then went back into the sim and to my surprise!! far less black box and stutters. almost back to normal... wierd.. and when you go back to the settings page that box is ticked again but no more stutters...

also antialiasing is on zero as well, it really doesnt like using the sim version...best to use the settings in the FLyinsde menu for that.

let me know if this makes any difference to anyone else.

Cheers

Hi,

I would like to report that Beta 15 destroyed my performance with Flyinside completely. With B14 I was very happy about having 40/90 FPS at Aerosoft Tegel in the standard B737, now i have around 20/20, not more. Tried enabling and disabling ASW, didn't help. Completely unflyable.

Greetings,

Hi,

as far as I know this is because of the introduction of the new clouds. The devs of XP11 are aware of that.
But those new clouds really look absolutely great, even while flying through them:)

Hey,

I also like them, but weren't they introduced in b14 already?

Yes, but pb15 is just a small packet of 3 fixes.
Take a look here: http://developer.x-plane.com/2017/03/be ... quick-fix/

Thanks, you are right, pb15 is a small update and the new clouds seem to have an impact on the performance on my system. Still, I am able to get between 45 and 50 fps without Flyinside and max. 25 with Flyinside. Quite a big loss in FPS, definitely bigger compared to Flyinside P3d for me. Hope this will change with XP11's final release.

So far, I am having great experience with x-plane 11 pb15. I did experience 'black-boxes' issue while HDR was off though, and the cockpit was unusable-ly dark. With HDR on though, all is brighter in the world.

The sim FPS isn't the best once airborne (12 - 15 fps) but on the ground its about 20 fps and doesn't feel as slow as that would tell. I guess due to the FI FPS being solid 60, the head tracking motion then feels much smoother than in P3D. Reading that even monster i7 with 1080's are having low fps is concerning, really hope Laminar can optimize the sim in a big way in coming months. While XP11 is in beta though, it will be tricky to get the best interaction between 3rd party apps and the sim but fair play to FI for getting this app on that road!
