I feel your pain. I'm close to that as well but trying to be patient. For me the biggest disappointment in XP vs P3D is XP 11's inability to match stable performance in FI VR. Jitters, inability to maintain 90 fps etc, while P3D was uber stable in FI. I don't even think it's FI's fault as I am sure Dan's tried everything. Maybe it's just a rendering limitation of XP 11?

Hoping the next build gives us something to cheer about!

Please do not give up.
Xplane 11 is still a beta-------for testing, wait till final release before giving up.

i don't know how some people are getting 90 FPS i would be happy if i could just get a constant 45 FPS but con only get between 13 and 20 with minimal settings
I think i have been patient enough
I'm not blaming Dan I think he has wonderful product and I know he is constantly trying to improve it and much kudos to him and his team
If only the people at laminar research could just bite the humble bullet and put Dan into the VR team they might just get somewhere Christ almighty enough with the constant Beta build xp 11 .10 b geeze thats 10 yes TEN rebuilds and they still cant get it right.
if it was a Chinese or Japanese program it would be finished over night
no wonder Dan has trouble keeping up

I gave up with XP as well.

P3D works like a charm, I run it at highest custom resolution with high settings inside a sim. I test in large cities in US with UTX v2, AS2016, ASCA, complex payware aircraft (pmdg, fslabs, etc), no problem at all.
In Xp on other hand I tried everything, it could run nice, with good FPS at photoscened Miami with overlay I have 45fps with maximum autogen (second from last), it would be smooth until you look down while turning, there come the stutters. I though the oculus couldn't bear with 3d objects, so I tried at sparse populated areas as well, tried to eliminate the autogen completely, still same old stutters. I think its the problem in both x-plane engine and VR mod. Like I said, P3d at high settings, max reso - like a charm. DCS with Ultra settings, like a charm.
I tried last 3 nvidia drivers, stopped at 376.53 with maximum performance power, disabled threaded optimization in all cases.
Problem in X-plane is that oculus frames are jumping, I think that causes it. ASW doesn't work correctly either.

Guys sorry to hear your frustrations.
I feel this way sometimes as well.
But I won't go back to flying a 32 bit sim again with the fear of a VAS OOM hanging over every flight.
When I want a quick fix I fly AFS2.
And I remind myself I didn't even consider Xplane till Dan
made FIXP.
Last night I flew xp 10 with the jar 330 in bad weather. The raindrops on the windscreen and sloped runway at ENGM and xEnviro reminded me of why I would not invest in P3D or FSX addons again unless these sims go 64 bit.
Some of your rigs are more powerful than mine so maybe your setup is different?
Have you tried the flywithlua fps script? It helps for me in XP10 .

I have no FPS problems, just the blackscreen situation with HDR. Until that gets fixed or there is a proper way to turn HDR off and still have a good visual experience, I will use it again on XP.
