Well, it doesn't only happen with the latest nvidia drives in flyinside and it also happens on vive, and it doesn't happen in any other game in vive and changing AA settings fixes it, also it doesn't happen completely randomly, so imho it's not related to that issue or very remotely at best. But please do look into it, does it power the HMD down? I strongly wish it's related to that and it will help you find a solution today, but I'm also very skeptical.

Yes, I think if it would be something related to the USB, turning off HDR would not fix it. This black screen happens in almost every flight. I am so burned out because of this that I am only flying DCS with its flawless VR at the moment.

This is getting so frustrating, I thought I had found a way to deal with it by just changing AA settings but that is hit or miss. It works the first time, but when it happens again sometimes FI will crash, just had another flight ruined because of this. It is so random too, Ive gone 2 hours with no blackscreen, only to have it occur within 15 minutes during another flight. I thought we were close to a fix for this? Unfortunately Ill be going back to p3d until this is fixed I just cant deal with it anymore.

I wonder how many people this affects. It happens to me and limits my flights to touch and goes but does it happen to everyone? Dan and Tony cant seem to replicate it so I'd love to know what systems they are running and what, if any, addons. Does anyone with addons not suffer from this bug? If Dan cant replicate it then a fix will be really difficult although I live in hope and visit this site nearly every day to see if there is any news. It would be really great to get external views and ATC / Maps etc displayed in VR. It's been over a month now since the last update so hopefully there'll be something soon. I suppose there's plenty of choice out there with P3D v4 etc but it would be nice to have one main sim to have a bit of confidence in.

Zotac GTX 1080 8GB, went all black textures except guages. I cycled to Medium turning HDR off and it seems I may be able to complete the flight. Weird almost like black rain particle effect going on even though its clear out.

Until now I got black screen 15-20 min of flight with any driver but I ´ve tried 382.53 (current) NVidia drivers but with a difference I desinstalled nvidia drivers with DDU in safe mode and then it has changed... textures went dark, interior textures so dark and gauges black, exterior textures like it was at night, while it was working normally, I was even causing a total black screen speeding up simulation and It stayed that way . That is new for me since I use DDU to uninstall drivers.

So it is a matter of testing with other drivers and see changes there. I will try with the suggested drivers 381.89 and the DDU.
