XP 10 crashing on startup - worked no problem yesterday

Hi,

I finally decided to move on from FSX and try x-plane. After testing a bit of xp11, I decided I'd for xp 10 which I owned already. I tested it yesterday with FlyInside XP in demo mode - worked brilliantly, no issues. Today I enthusiastically purchase FlyInsideXP and... when I start x-plane 10 it always crashes at an early startup stage if started with FI. Without FI I can load up everything, it doesn't crash.
What puzzles me is that I didn't actually install anything else than the Australian terrain (added using the steam dlc interface), but that's not even where I was loading my flight (KSEA and Bella Coola), which was the exact same location and plane as yesterday. I tried erasing all preferences in xp-10 to start from default again, but no luck. Tonight was my only night with a couple of hours of spare time in a while.... Murphy's law at work for sure...

That's on Win 10 x64, CPU i7 3930K @4.3Ghz, 16GB RAM, GTX 1080 using both FLYINSIDE_XP_PRO_1.7302_VIVE_1000 and FLYINSIDE_XP_PRO_1.73_VIVE_1000 after uninstall and reinstall, same crash.

Any help would be immensely appreciated.

OK its seems sorted: I was on the steamVR beta branch. Reverting to normal branch fixed the crashes.

Also, note that steamVR beta triggered the same crash on both XP 10 and 11

We're working on this and will reach out to the SteamVR team to coordinate a fix. For now, revert from beta back to standard SteamVR and the crash should go away:)

Yep, that's what I've been doing. On the standard branch of steamVR everything is running great - I managed to get an hours of xplane 10 with FI yesterday and it was truely awesome. I think FSX is finally going to be retired (most of the time)

Can't remember the last time I used FSX ??? X-Plane was ok ish on 2D but I never really liked. VR is a totally different ball game :) Loving it !!!
