Strange reflections or shadows when looking forward

First let me say that I am new to using X Plane 11 with FlyInside, but not new to FlyInside. I have been using FlyInside with both FSX and P3D v3 for a few months.

In X-Plane 11 I am getting a strange shadow or reflection when I am looking forward through the front window of the airplane. I have tried turning shadows and reflections on and off in X-Plane, and setting the HDR+ slider to multiple settings with no effect. It seems to be limited to one eye at a time, but it effects both eyes. Is there some simple change I need to make in the settings menu of X-Plane? I have never had the slightest problem with FlyInside when using FSX or P3D v3.

I'm sorry if I am missing something obvious.

I figured it out. It was in fact reflections on the windshield glass. Sorry for the stupidity.

Hi Oldar,

glad you figured it out.
I am sometimes also annoyed by it because it feels not natural to have that significant reflection right before your eyes.
That said I'm not sure if FlyInside or X-Plane or the plane maker has to change something here.

Best regards
Stephan

I am not sure what I experienced is the same bug or related.

What I saw is dark and bright patches shaped like the silhouette of front windshield and instrument panel. The dark patches are similar to the view when you wear sunglasses. This visual artifacts only happens in left eye display and will go way and come back from time to time.

I find the window reflection is too 'strong' in XP using VR. Does anyone know any way to dail it down from 11 ?!

If it's a stick aircraft tell me what one and I'll take a look to see if I can adjust it for you.
