Hi Guys,
First off, just make sure you two keep it civil (you've done well so far). Criticism of the product will
always be allowed on the forum (we don't censor that), and civil debate between users is allowed (even encouraged) so far as it remains polite, but if this turns into a flame-war I'll have to lock it. It's been good so far, just wanted to let you guys know in-case this keeps going a while
So first off, Erion, I'd agree that you're 100% in the right to expect bug-fixes, and want a product that works for you. That's a perfectly fair request, not being entitled.
Kilstorm is correct though in saying that the pace of updates has kept us on our toes. The black screen bug may also exist in X-Plane 10, but the various X-Plane 11 updates have made it hard to focus on that one specific bug. X-Plane 11 also forced our hand in releasing HDR support earlier than we would've liked (enabling it by default and such). The original FlyInside FSX was so stable in beta, as I'd spent close to a year working on FSX support at that point, with no changes to deal with from the FSX team. Our X-Plane 11 support will reach the same level of stability, and hopefully in half the time or less.
Personal opinions aside, we expect to have X-Plane 11 support in much better shape, with a public release before end-of-April. We now have a fix for the clouds bug under internal testing (seems to be working), improvements in scaling issues with ATC/map windows. As the X-Plane update rate now slows down a bit, we're hoping to get back to a faster feature/bug-fix schedule, so no-one is waiting 4 months next time. Erion, all I can say, is please wait one or two more weeks, we are close on some large improvements!
Thanks,
Dan
