Lens Indepdendent Cockpit Shadow/Reflection Bug

I've stopped using Fly Inside because of this bug but I check with each X-Plane/FI update to see if it's fixed. Basically I get these very disrupting shadows in the cockpit that are different for each eye and they move all around as you move your head and airplane. It's really not playable because at times one of you're eyes can be looking at drastically different image and it really messes with your head. I've tried using the art controls to disable cockpit shadows and anything I can find about shadows but thing has any effect. In a couple pictures I actually moved the headset outside the side of the default C172 and you still see what looks like a wing strut shadow where it shouldn't be.

Hi Jzig,

I know exactly what you mean and I also find it very distracting, too.
Good news is that I also hope to brought it to the attention of the devs and I hope that they will try to fix it soon. Of course I have no idea what priority it has.

Best regards, happy flying and happy easter :)

Hi Guys,

I didnt see thus message before but have had the same problem.
It appeared after I installed FlywithLUA and is gone since I removed lua. Recently tried LUA again: same thung.
So my tip: try to remore LUA ;)
My rig: I6700, 16Gig, GTX1070, HTC Vive, FSX SE, Xplane 11 RC 1, P3d v3.

Hi All,

Is anyone seeing these bugs, with SSAO turned off (so just HDR)? If so, do you still see the problem after disabling FlyWithLUA?

Need to know whether this bug is purely related to SSAO (we're reproducing shadow bugs with SSAO), whether there is a separate incompatibility with FlyWithLUA, or whether there is some third bug ;)

Thanks,
Dan

Had the same thing after I'd installed FlyWithLua. Once the Ambient Occlusion was disabled in the settings.ini all was well.

--Ambient Occlusion. 0 (off) or 1 (on)
set( "sim/private/controls/ssao/enable", 0.00)

I have the same issue.
Neither changing ambient occlusion nor removing FlyWithLua appears to make any difference.

Try turning HDR to one below Max and lowering your AA.
