1.8 and windows reflections

Postby SPAS » Mon May 01, 2017 4:26 pm

So I've downloaded 1.8 and have tried it with XP11.01r1 and

windows reflections are all over the place... Am I missing something? I mean when I turn with the headset, reflections seem to be projected on the glass windscreen and windows way bigger than they should be, and "slide" over said windows. Has anybody had this issue? I've searched the forum but all I could find is about [scenery/graphics options] reflections...

Does this happen with stock aircraft ? Have you tried turning the reflection slider off in xp11 settings ?

SPAS, is this the kind of windshield issue you are seeing? (note the dark blotchy areas to the left and right of the propeller) If you close one eye do you see a different reflection or shadow in each eye?

If so, I think they are actually shadows but cant be 100% certain. I made a thread about it here with more pics:http://forum.flyinside-fsx.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5363
There was another thread recently and I think we are all seeing the same thing but describing it differently because its hard to tell.

Hi Tony,

yeah, mate, this is with nearly every aircraft: From the stock C172, the EADT x737-700 to the Aquila A210 and other ones I forgot to mention here.
Already wrote about it in the beta section, other guys also experienced that issue but it's no new issue.

That's probably why I can't reproduce it, I deleted flylua ages ago. Will reinstall it to try.

Hi All,

I've addressed the shadows issue in the other two threads, so be sure to check those out. As far as reflections go, we're working on those, and I'll keep you posted :)

Thanks,

I recreated this tonight, it's this script from this program causing it = "Rendering options for XP11"

Hi Tony,

I did not have any script from the tool in my lua folder BUT it could be that the rendering tool implements some AA changes within the script that might cause this kind of shadows.

Still good to know for people who still suffer from that - even though they shouldnt
