FIXP 1.8 and touch problems

Postby Grimmer72 » Sun May 07, 2017 2:21 am

Can see hands. Can interact with menus/settings with touch controllers then nothing in simulator. Can still see and move virtual hands but pass right through instruments and cannot seem to position to interact as in demo video. Any suggestions. Leap works fine. When using touch, unplug Leap and not running in background so don't think an issue.

Yes, tried first with Cessna like demo. Then tried 737, also nothing; although appeared that I was able to flip open to guards on overhead panel accidentally but hand had to appear past the panel to get the cue it was sensing

Don't see it in task manager. Unplugged and removed from startup processes. Could uninstall completely and try again.

Ok. Further narrowed down problem. Can interact but aiming above where actual interaction is located (ie. the hide/show yoke is in the middle of the heading instrument. The heading bug is in the artificial horizon. Still playing with FI settings. Any suggestions in setup that can correct this?

Ah, yet another interesting discovery! Works fine in P3D with the PMDG and general aviation aircraft. No setup required. Something specific to XP11 setting up the "touch points" well beyond panel and slightly offset. Painful, but guess I could start removing plugins to see if contributing to the problem.

XP11 is extremely hard work to get the offsets right. The devs are continually trying to improve this for us. Hopefully it'll just get better and better ;)

Thanks for your help. Will keep messing with it. It's an exciting time in flight simulation and will only get better.
