I've experienced this once but it was after switching to FI XP from DCS. A reboot solved the problem. Could it be that others have been using other VR titles before launching FI?

Yes since 1.8 i think. Strange had a couple of nights of no issues, but last night happened twice. First time it actually loaded up like it, second time again just randomly. I did pay a bit more attention this time and can confirm it is not actually crossed images, the correct image is shown on each lens (correct side at least) but it's like each lens is zoomed in independently. Looks very much like when you zoom in with the mouse wheel, warped and "fishbowl" like.

I even tried loading another plane when it happened to see if a reload would sort it, loaded the new plane with the same problem and it was then missing any rendering on the cockpit panels, just grey.

Also worth noting, the FI menu is unaffected just when in the cockpit

Your rig is nearly identical to mine apart from the 1080 I have. Try 1.73 quickly and see if that works ok. If yes I'll pass it on to the devs.

Tony,

I did just try 1.73.
No cross eye problems at all (just the old clouds issue) did a flight from PAWD to PAHO which are both heavy sceneries i have installed with HD mesh and orthos etc and no cross eyes and no black screen.

HDR on
maximum texture with compression
AA off

FI settings AA 4x
FXAA off

XPlane version 11.0.1.2

I then tried 1.8 with same settings and i just got black screen within 15 seconds.
Tried a few times. Re boot etc. no cross eyes just straight to black screen now
Turned off AA in FI settings and it didnt go black but shortly after takeoff (was brief start and taxi) i got cross eyes.
Always used stock cessna

More than happy to go on team viewer to see whats up if it helps to fix these nasty little bugs.

Am also upgrading to a 1080 ti in next couple of weeks but by all accounts that wont help just yet.

Whats the oculus beta you speak of?

Regards

Chris
