Flyinside X planes 11 and SLI

Postby mac2 » Mon May 22, 2017 3:30 pm

Just wondering if anyone got SLI working with x planes 11? - I also have the P3D flyinside and x2 980's in sli and it gives me the option of SLI in the flyinside when selected I get 90fps (right one) throughout any flights....
However my X planes flyinside is horribe - it does not seem to give me the option of SLI in the flyinside menu although strangely when I have a single 980 running it tries to get me to choose my gpu it gives me a choice of x2 980's in the drop down?!!(interesting in this screen it had XP along the top but some of the wording refers to FSX?)

In terms of frame rates these are horrible at the moment with SLI selected (from NVidia panel) - it gives me low but steady fps around 30-50................when I select
single 980 (from NVidia control panel) it becomes very chopping with fps (right one) jumping from 10 -95! - anyone any ideas?(note am running the latest NVidia drivers - but shocked by the results as my P3D is very smooth in sli - strangely the 3d cockpits look amazing and better than P3D but the frames jumping around make it unplayable?

I'll have a word with the devs and see if there is plans to add SLI support to X-plane for you.

tony thanks please let me know.....assume this means SLI is currently not being supported?
strangely it seems to be having some (positive) effect enabling it in the NVidia control panel - but using a single card XP 11 is really not playable for me with the frame rate jumping around - strange as my P3D runs comfortably over 90fps (using SLI) - this is a shame as some of the payware cockpits look really amazing .........

Tony - is there any news on whether SLI will be supported in a future patch? (if yes would certainly consider buying this version).

I vote for SLI for XP too. P3D 90+ frames. XP unplayable now.

Certainly wishing. Not hoping. Not sure XP developers would spend time supporting something aimed more at PC users. They have always been multi-platform.

Tony any news on whether the XP flyinside will support SLI eventually (also just to clarify am not asking for XP 11 to benefit from SLI just the Flyinside for XP - P3D version does and it makes a huge improvement to playability!!)
