Downloaded 1.8 on trial.
TBH got lost on trying to setup with the in game menu for Flyinside. And gave me a very bad experience as it was very grainy and very stuttery and VERY low FPS. Was getting in a ball park of 10-19 FPS
I Normally fly non VR with a Acer Preditor 3440x1440 at 30-40 FPS
Could someone please take the time to give me a run down of what settings are best in Steam VR and what is best to set in the Flyinside settings please.

As i would VERY much like to enjoy flying Xplane11 with VR as i have seen most do on youtube videos.

System Specs
Win 7 64bit
CPU Intel 4790k not over clocked
MSI Geforce 1080
16 Gig Ram 1866

Regards
Mike

Try the highest setting in Flyinside and x8 mxaa and in your xplane settings AA off texture quality one down from where you are and try that. I would also recommend latest drivers and getting Win 10, it really is worth the upgrade IMO........but that's up to you :)

I agree with Tony: turn your AA off within XP11. However, also do the same within FI. The HTC Vive has native AA that works really well. Pushing your AA within XP 11 up even one notch will have a significant impact on your FPS. This might all sound counterintuitive but give it a try. Within SteamVR go to Settings, and then Developer, and scroll down a little. Ensure that "Enable Always-on Reprojection" is ticked, and then try setting Supersampling to 1.3 (going higher will give a sharper image but at the expense of performance, going lower vice versa).

As Tony says, set Texture Quality to one setting below where you have it.

Thxs for the reply guys. A friend and i did extensive testing last night.
And we even went to the extreme and moved the sliders all the way to the left.
Result was 24/90 on the flyinside menu. Just cant seem to break that 24 or less FPS.

So at this time im pretty much at a loss as to what is going on :(

Ok just tried those settings guys. Again 19/90 on the flyinside menu. Pretty unplayable as the juddering starts to send me into a motion sickness frenzy :(
In regards to the blurry situation IF i use the scroll wheel on my mouse and scroll forward the image becomes SUPER clear but the i start seeing 3 images in the tunnel vision where the centre is SUPER clear the outter 2 are fuzzy.
If i scroll back the image becomes one and it is fuzzy as hell LOL. Am i possessed?
Again even scrolling etc does not fix the very low FPS.

Mike

Scrolling would have nothing to do with fps. Do you have any plugins active or gpu intensive add-ons? Are you sure nothing is running in the background ?

I have Xenviro as a plugin and TBH thats about it.
Tried it with it on and off.
Tests were done with default cessna at KSEA.

As a side note for craps and giggles, I reinstalled P3d bare bones and tried Flyinside NO tweaking and it ran flawlessly. Was getting 70/90 on the flyinside menu.

So in all seriousness. I want to get this problem solved. But i don't see the point in laying out $52 AU for the program if i'm going to be stuck with the same results I'm getting in the demo.
Just having a bit of a hard time understanding these youtubers etc having excellent results, and i'm in the opposite spectrum of getting bad results.
I dont think its my PC as i stated earlier. That i tried P3d and was blown away on how great it was. And I'm not going back to FSX/P3D as i find Xplane 11 a nicer sim to fly in for me.
