Totally understand and totally agree Mike. We need to keep plugging away and get to the bottom of this. Have you tried turning on or off, threaded optimisation in Nvidia control panel ?

Deactivate that and see if any improvements.

Ok it is disabled now and i did get a fps improvement :)
Same airport KSEA default Cessna. Now stands at 30/90 :)
If i understand it 30/90 means 30fps in Sim and 90 in VR?

Should i be looking for more fps?

Now if we can improve upon the fuzzy/blurriness at distance i think we will be golden mate :)

That seems pretty good to me. Where you go from here will be a trade off between fps and sharpness. I prefer a sharper image and have sacrificed some fps. You could try editing the "settings_pro_FlyInside XP_settings.ini" file to increase the resolution from the normal maximum. This should be in:

"C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\FlyInside".

You want to look for the line that reads:

Vive Target Resolution = xxxx yyyy

where xxxx and yyyy will correspond to the resolution you have selected within FI. You can increase these in steps, but each increase will be a hit on the fps. It does not hurt to try. The following are workable pairings:

3840 2160

4080 2295

4480 2520

5120 2880

Each increase will also be like increasing the AA settings in terms of reducing the "jaggies". If you are not happy with the fps loss then go back to where you are now. Remember to backup the file before editing.

You might also want to look at Ortho4XP scenery. Search youtube and you will find videos telling you how to build your own scenery tiles. If you have not seen it, this makes a huge difference (improvement) to X-plane. It is pretty straightforward and you can select the areas that you want to build from a world map. You can then wind down your world detail settings because the photo scenery will compensate.

have you disabled thread optimisation on your graphics card?. XP does its own optimisation and the two together will clash and cause stutter and low fps
