Distorted Image after opening application

So I've been using FI in XP more lately and I noticed if I open an app while FI is running in XP, it seems to distort the screen. I have to try and snag a screen shot next time it happens but it seems like part of the screen gets frozen causing a weird effect. It also kicks the in HMD out to the FI Menu "Waiting for simulator" Is this a known bug or something new?

FINALLY able to duplicate this. Seems it only happens when HDR is enabled. Ive been using FI for a few weeks without HDR and haven't had issues. Of course, night time looks awful without HDR enabled. Thankfully it seems flipping HDR off just now looks like I can complete my flight.
