Ok so my primary sims have always been FSX and P3D I had xplane10 and just recently purchased xplane11.On the monitor with highest possible settings in stock aircraft I average between 35-50fps as I say everything maxed in sim,now I'm no noob when it comes to VR I understand unless u have a super computer u cannot max out a game/sim in VR but here is my issue my performance was horrible in xp11 so I tested it with the lowest setting in Flyinside and in the sim average FPS 27 same conditions stock aircraft stock airport as on the monitor maxed (and just looks simply awful) I'm sure we can all agree with the lowest settings this is just unacceptable and unplayable, and when I set the graphics in sim to what I feel is acceptable for VR I am averaging 14FPS flyinside says its giving 90fps in the HMD but no its not its laggy jerky and as I said b4 unplayable to me it feels very like a compatibility issue some software is conflicting but I do not know what so if any1 knows, heard or even has any ideas I would be greatful cheers all.

The 2 numbers you see are in the left, sim fps and on the right flyinside stable at 90. That one is the one you need unless ASW kicks then it'll stabilise at 45. I'm getting 35 fps in xplane with 90 plus on the right. My settings are reflection off HDR one below Max and AA off. I have x8 msaa set in the flyinside UI. This has been good to me and my system is a 6700k and a 1080 with 16gb ddr4 mem.

Yh I do understand how Flyinside works Tony, well I'm no programmer so I couldn't make FI as I say lowest possible settings in sim and in flyinside sim FPS is 27 and FI fps is 90 but its nowhere near beacause of the lag and jerkiness I get in the rift along with artifacts u get from not using FI u get in other titles when the frame rate drops on u like black lines popping in on the edges when u turn ur head fast all I am saying is I know I don't have a top of the line PC but at lowest settings I should be getting more than 27fps even tho at them settings it is unplayable as the sim looks awful even if the frame rate was ok which it obviously is not.

Ok for Hollywood that is having similar issues I have managed to improve the situation slightly by changing the USB port my tracker was plugged into now with decent settings in sim my average has gone up to between 35-45FPS so not bad at all only issue I appear to be having now is ASW kicking in when not needed and causes stutters in the sim if it just remained ATW at 90 fps it would be fine turned off ASW but its still kicking in for some reason mite be Oculus software causing this tho so I will look into it more cheers to all that read this post hope my fix helps some1 else out with similar issues.

I'm happy and gave up tinkering with the settings ages ago, very stable now
