GPS, frequencies and saving virtual windows

Is anyone successfully using GPS in VR? As a standalone window, I can only create something small with the wrong aspect ratio (even after trying to use the resize function)? Maybe there's a trick to making this bigger?
Also, what is the best way to change radio frequencies? I can't seem to get a hold of the knob on the Garmin 430 with the mouse, and it doesn't seem like a key can be assigned to this.
I saw another user asking about saving virtual windows, but no replies. Is this possible?
