Not Happy with FFS FSX

Postby i4110peter » Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:41 pm

I sure hope that the developers of FFS are going to put more effort into linking FSX and VR. At this point, after purchasing the program, I am not very happy with the performance. Very few of the aircraft have working instrument panels and the ones that I have purchased from other companies, have issues as well. I am going to unlink FFS and FSX until things improve. I hate to complain, but I am also using XPlane with Oculus Rift outside of FFS and it works very well. Thanks for your patience. and yes I have posted about specific issues in other locations on this forum.

The addon aircraft were not made for VR..so how is that Flyinside devs fault?
There isn't any vr support for FSX payware aircraft..Flyinside is as good as it gets.

If you want up to date VR compatible aircraft you gotta go P3D, xPLANE11 OR Aerofly FS2

blueshark747,

I have similar issues.
This is whatI posted under bug report

""""""""""""""""""""""
Bought FFS, now looking to buy FSX version. but on trying some basic FSX aircraft hang up as soon as an interactive control such as throttle or switch are tried.
The hang up just locks the display, partially scewed and an egg timer just rotates!
Aircraft exhibiting this problem are:
Airbus 321
Douglas DC3
Learjet 45
Piper J3

Is there a solution to these lock ups ? I am using the DVD version of FSX with service packs 1 & 2. I did a fresh install of FSX and Flyinside FSX after rumours indicated that adding aircraft caused some standard aircraft to hang !

Good workng ones are :
Cessna
747
737
Mooney
Beechcraft Air King.

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

I bought FFS and it is fine, I then tried the demo version of FFS FSX and found the above happened.

FFS believed there was a problem with the boxed DVD version of FSX but not the steam verson, they also advised that the "Accelerator" add on DVD for the DVD boxed FSX may overcome the issue.
I bought a copy of "Accelerator" but it made no difference.
I am waiting for a response from FFS as to whether the steam edition of FSX really does overcome the issue before I buy a copy and then a licence for FFS fSX.

cheers
