Head movement with psvr

Postby flightrisk » Thu Sep 12, 2019 11:53 am

Hi,

I use flyinside with fsx and psvr via trinus.

My question is, head movement seems to be from a fixed point in the world, where I can look around 360 degrees but can't lean forward or lean left or right.

Is this because I'm using psvr or is this the standard movement capability in flyinside fsx regardless of which vr headset is being used?

I've watched a few videos using Vive and it looks like leaning in and leaning left and right is possible but I'm not 100% sure.

Can anyone clarify for me?

Hi mate, yes you'll struggle with the PSVR. The Rift S would be a better option but that depends on your PC ;) you are stuck in 3dof where as the rift CV1, rift S, Vive, Vive pro and all WMR headsets will have 6dof

awesome - cheers Tony

I'm going to get the Vive Cosmos as it has comparable resolution to the index, but also has a visor that flips up, so will be easier to check maps!

thanks again for the info - i thought that was the case but its good to know for sure!

Uh oh! I didn't even think of that.

As it's a Vive flavour I assumed it would just work?

Is there any way to check (beyond buy and try!)
