FSX Starts but within the Rift S, just a loading screen.

Hi Folks,

I recently purchased an Oculus Rift S Headset and upon first use of the trial version with an upgraded FSX (from Win 7 - 10) everything was fine... Apart from some of my textures (mainly water) not being present (nothing to do with FFS)

I then decided to completely (or as far as I could) remove FFS & FSX from my upgraded system.
I then re-installed the Sim, a few Addons & FFS.

As soon as I start the application from the FFS Icon on desktop there appears to be a black and white striped hill (where once there was FFS in the distance) with a Loading... message and nothing happens.
FSX starts as usual but no connection to FFS or even reaction to movement of headset as in the previous installation.

I've tried reinstalling FFS, restarting my PC. removing the FFS settings on uninstall etc with no luck. (I purchased the full version just before the FSX reinstall too)

my specs:
i7 4790k on an Asus Sabertooth MK 1 board
250GB SSD as C drive with FSX on another 250GB SSD
Asus RoG GtX 1070
16GB RAM
2x Screen (LG 4k Smart TV as pri & HP Elite Display e201 as sec)
Oculus Rift S
