[Solved] Stuck on "FlyInside needs to change the following"

Hi!

I just bought and installed FSX Steam Edition, and am trying to get FlyInside to work.

But all that happens is that i get a pop-up saying

"FlyInside FSX needs to change the following settings...".

I click on "yes", and then nothing happens. FSX doenst start, and i cant even see any interesting programs in the task manager.

When I start FSX with my DK2 switched off, FSX starts fine.

I am running on an i7 with a GTX770, with the Oculus SDK 0.5.0.1

I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me get this working!

Just confirm you downloaded the right Flyinside version to go with 0.5.0.1 ?

Usually it says "change settings" then says FSX needs to restart. Do you get that ? And also do you see the screen that asks you what GPU you have ?

Plus are you in Direct Mode on your Rift ?

Hi!

All i get after clicking on "Play" in steam is:
- a Windows UAC prompt
- the dialog box asking "Allow FlyInside to make these changes?", to which i reply "yes"
- absolutely nothing more. according to the task manager, FSX.exe (32bit) exits almost immediately after clicking "yes"
- clicking "no" has the same effect.

I have tried it in direct mode and extended mode, and i have tried deelting the cfg file a coupl\e of times, too.

The file i downloaded and installed is
FlyInsideFSX_AlphaPreview_7_OVR_0501

I am not getting the "FSX needs to restart" dialog, or any screen saying anything about my GPU.

I am running Windows 8.1 64bit

I set all the settings that FlyInside wanted to change manually (shadows and windowed mode), and now, after starting FSX, i get a white empty window titled "FlyInside FSX" for a couple of seconds. That window then disappears, and nothing happens.

I got it working!

I was running XSplit broadcaster. I turned it off, and now it works great!
