Crash On Start Up

Postby HungryPikachu » Tue Jul 28, 2015 7:05 pm

So I've just installed the 0.7 version of FlyInside which is for 0.6.0.0 runtime of the Oculus, I installed it and instantly decided to run FSX:SE but when I launched it, a message came up saying that "Flight Simulator was unable to load some program files and will now exit. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the program installation." I've searched these forums but the only solution was to delete the FlyInside folder which is in the roaming directory. But there is no FlyInside folder so I can't fix this the same way other people have. Please help!

OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit
Oculus Runtime: 0.6.0
Add-ons for FSX:SE: PMDG 737/777, UK2000 EGFF, Carenado C206/PC12, Aerosoft A320/A321, REX EPO, OrbX FTX Global.

Try entering %appdata% in the Windows Explorer path bar.

I'm on C:\Users\tyler\AppData\Roaming but there is no folder named FlyInside or something related to that

I take it you've tried launching FSX with the Rift turned OFF? Does FSX work ìn regular 2D then?

Sounds more like it's a problem with the FSX installation than anything FlyInside-related then. Have you tried reinstalling FSX? Or checking install integrity at least?

I've uninstalled it, verified the integrity and vice versa kept reinstalling it and FlyInside but nothing seems to work. :?

Ok uninstall Flyinside and 0.6.0.0 and then get 0.5.0.1 runtime and download Flyinside for that version. Most have better luck with it.
