Problem with rift After using fly inside.

Postby Mark W » Mon Aug 10, 2015 1:04 pm

Whenever I use fsx with fly inside and then try to use the rift in iracing I have to uninstall then reinstall the runtime to get it working again. Doesn't happen with anything else just flyinside.
Is there something that flyinside does to the runtime that could be causing this. Or does it kill extended mode some how as that's how I use iracing to be able to run sweet fx.

Do you really need a reinstall? Does a reboot (or log-off / log-on ) not fix it?

Nah I have to actually uninstall then reinstall. It's a weird one. Never had any problems with rift like some do. Guess this is my turn.

That's super weird, and obviously not a good thing at all :o

Probably tied somewhat to extended mode (although I haven't experienced it). Which Oculus SDK are you running, and do other Oculus programs like the "Desk Scene" break?

Runtime 6.0.0 demo scene works in direct mode. Not sure if it did in extended but doesn't now.
I have just found a cure for uninstall/reinstall. I ran another program in extended mode(ahem vrgirlz ☺️) and it seems to reinstate extended mode for iracing. So I can live with that.
