In my case, the FSL A320 always crashes after pressing the interact button in the VC. In outside view, no problem with this button. It is a pity to get the crash after finishing preflight and then hitting the interact button by coincidence.

I am having this issue but only with the jets. Cenessa I have no issues. I am not using any add-on aircraft just the planes that came with the boxed version. As soon as I press interact it locks up and crashes in the jets.

I have a very similar issue. The sim crashes when the interaction dot is used. Just looking around while the blue interaction dot is active and is hovering over the cockpit elements is sometimes enough to produce a crash, but trying to manipulate a switch or button using the dot will always trigger the CTD. It happens in PMDG aircraft (namely 737 NGX and 747) and with the Majestic Dash-8 . Default aircraft seem to be stable.

What I've tried so far: Rollback to earlier versions of FI, Rollback to ealier version/reinstall of the NGX, Rollback to ealier NVIDIA drivers, clean Flyinside re-install. Nothing works.

Can anyone help?

When Dan returns later this week I'll ask him to get the devs to have a look. Could be that PMDG are just resource hogs ???

Thanks for your help, Tony. Not sure it's a resource issue, it's perfectly reproducable, even with the aircraft sitting on the ground moments after first loading it. And without ever bringing up the interaction dot, the aircraft's inflight performance is quite smooth.

Hey, I'm brand new to the fourum. Last night I just purchased Fly Inside for FSX. I had tried the trail for the 15 minute runs like 3 times and I was sold. However, I seem to be running into extremely similar situations as the OP and the co-OP (lol, not sure if that is even a thing, but Dan had the two of them email him.) When I was reading this, I realized that I was experiencing the interact button issue too, but I also have a few more symptoms to point out:

When moving windows around in the cockpit is usually always where I get a crash. Interacting in the cockpit is far less likely to crash it and using the mouse to interact essentially avoids the issue. But the moment you interact with a popup window, you've sealed your fate. It is a matter of when it will crash. To speed up the crash process, try resizing or moving the window and you are guaranteed a crash within the next few seconds.

I know this post is old, but the symptoms are so similar and I didn't see another fix except the "make sure fsx is on the foreground." However, this doesn't resolve the issue that I'm having by moving the windows around or resizing them.

Thanks for the help in advanced! :)

Hi Supernovali,

In my case, the problem is still there. I'm not aware of any fix. If you find something, let me know :-)

Is it also when you manipulate the virtual Windows? Like move and resize them too?

No, I can bring up a 2D window and move it without any problem. But looking down at the pedestal or to the rear part of the flight deck while the interaction dot is active immediately crashes the sim. I've recently also tried the MJQ Dash-8 for the first time in months, and it has the same issue.
