Hi Tony, et al..

Daniel came up with the fix !

On the FSX install DVDs, Disc 1 has a SDK folder.
Inside that Folder is the Setup icon for the SDK.
Just click on it and the SDK loads into FSX and all is well.

Must say how impressed I am with Flyinside and tomorrow I will purchase it.

Marvellous stuff.. Just wondering though, is there a "good" resolution to set via the Flyinside menu?
I would have thought the native resolution of the CV1 would be best?
Maybe not?

Cheers and thanks Tony and Daniel :)

I have the same problem as the OP but haven't been able to find a solution.

I have FSX Deluxe Edition. I did a fresh install then installed SP1 followed by SP2. Then I installed the SDK off the install disk and ran simconnect.

When I install FlyInside I get an error message:

A FlyInside dependency is missing
Please ensure that SimConnect 10.0.61259.0 is installed and reinstall Flyinside

I googled 'simconnect 10.0.61259.0' and found a zip file with three SimConnect versions in. I installed all of them but still no luck. I can see a 'simconnect 10.0.61259.0' in the WinSxS so it appears to be there but not recognised by FlyInside.

Can anyone help?

I know the Steam Edition works better but I have lots of expansion packs for my original boxed edition and as far as I can tell they won't work with Steam Edition.

Hi benw, try and find the SDK from SP1a and run the installer in there, will be on your disc mate.

Hi Benw,
I didn't run the simconnect file as such
I simply clicked/ installed the SDK only, from the DVD1 disc.
That's all.
I think from memory that trying to run simconnect file didn't work?
Anyway, good luck, and Tony's suggestion may have solved your problem?

Thanks Tony. As it happens I found the SP1A update completely by mistake last night and downloaded overnight. Just tried installing and still getting the same error. Then I found there is an SP2 update for the SDK and tried that. Still no luck.

So far I have

Installed FSX Deluxe Edition from DVD
Installed SP1 update from MS website
Installed SP2 update from MS website
Installed SDK from DVD
Installed FlyInside from website
Installed SDK SP1A from Avsim because the MS website link was broken ( https://library.avsim.net/search.php?Ca ... hange+View )
Installed SDK SP2 from MS website
Reinstalled Flyinside

Still getting the same Simconnect 61259 error on installation.

Run out of ideas now!

Silly question? Did you run them as admin ? After installing are they showing up in your directory mate ? Is that missing simconnect actually installing to the correct location or file folder ? Got to be something stopping it ???

Hi there, Benw..
Maybe this might help?

In my "C" Drive, under Microsoft Games I have two Folders.
The actual FlightsimX Folder and another Folder labeled, Flightsim SDK.

I am guessing that the Flightsim SDK Folder was installed when I ran the SDK setup from the FSX DVD.(1)

Anyway..now in my C drive FSX folder I have the file called, "Simconnect Verifier" which was placed there by the setup.

The other Folder (SDK) in Microsoft Games has two things: a Gmax Folder and the SDK Folder.
as mentioned, the SDK Folder was put there in the C drive when I installed/ran/clicked on the setup icon in the FSX DVD !

Wow that sounds confusing?? :)

But I never had to manually do anything except run the SDK setup from within the DVD. Nothing else at all.
The install of the SDK was automatic.

Does that help at all?
Please let me know if I've missed something or can help any more.

PS EDit: I didn't need to use Administrator.
Edit2 : I never have installed SDK SP1A. I haven't heard of that one !

Here's my two pence worth guys

I was running Win 7, just for FSX with service pack 2, etc. loads of add ons, the works..... bliss.... bought Oculus CV1. Bought Flyinside. Wow. loved it. Worked like a dream.
New PC build, Win 10, over clocked a bit more, FSX more buttery smooth frame rates.... Simconnect ----- ahhhhhh bugger, damn and someone please help.

Yes, done the SDK off disk 1. But this really shoudnt happen.

Are you saying that even though it shouldn't happen...it's all going Ok?
Or are you having trouble?
It's a bit unclear by your post.
