Apologies

I can't get past the Simconnect issue.
FSX works wonderfully now but I can't for the best will in the world manage to run Flyinside ( the whole point of the new install and buying Oculus Rift...)

Really have hit a brick wall on this issue so currently downloading DCS.....

Hope someone has a flash of inspiration that actually solves this issue.

Kind regards

Mart

Sounds like me and that "brick wall" just before I got the hint about the SDK trick.
Tell me, after installing the SDK from the DVD 1, do you have the folders I mentioned in your FSX main folder?
Just wondering.

HI everyone.

Well. Here is my solution and now everything works.

Having given up for the evening I downloaded DCS on the new system. As part of installing it , it updated some Windows components which then got me thinking.....

Quit DCS, fresh install of Flyinside and now it works perfectly!!! Steam is free, DCS is free, bit of a workaround if you have the SimConnect issue but it worked for me. Running Windows 10, i5 6600k, GTC 970

Now to get back to downloading all my scenery files....

Buttery smooth heaven !!

Sounds great..
Could you tell how you finally got things going?
Might be of help to those who are still struggling.

And yes, a higher res headset would be just fine.
Might be a lot longer wait than Xmas, unfortunately :(

I have fsx gold edition and had that same problem with the latest update of flyinside fsx. I downloaded a newer version of directx and that fix the problem

Hi, sorry for not updating. I had to return my Rift due to a fault. Now its replacement is back I'm trying to get FlyInside working again. I just did a fresh install of FSX, SP1 & SP2, SDK and SDK service packs and SimConnect. I ran everything as administrator just to be sure. Still getting the same SimConnect 10.0.61259.0 error when I run FlyInside.

I'm currently downloading DCS to see if it has the same magical effect as it did on Mart.

I checked the files/folders rumble mentioned. I have the SimConnect Verifier application in the FSX folder. I DON'T have a Gmax folder in the FSX SDK folder. Interestingly I found the following website http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.p ... x_gamepack which explains that when you run the Service Pack it deletes Gmax. Are people here installing the Service Packs before installing FlyInside?
